We are located 45 minutes from Digby, Nova Scotia on Hwy 217 west. Freeport is the southwestern most village on Long Island. Long Island and Brier Island are the two islands situated at the tip of Digby Neck. You will enjoy a short ferry ride across Petite Passage to our quaint island. The ferry runs to Long Island on the half hour and returns to Digby Neck on the hour. The ferry runs 24 hours a day on this schedule. The fee to cross is $5 and it pays for your vehicle and all passengers to the island and back. You are on the ferry for about 4 minutes. Once you cross on the Petite Passage ferry to Long Island we are a 10 minute drive away.
Brier Island is another short ferry ride across the Grand Passage ferry, fee for this ferry is the same as the first and its schedule leaves Freeport on the hour and returns at 25 after the hour. This ferry ride is about 5 minutes in length. Our office is located directly across the street from the ferry dock to Brier Island. We sell our tickets at Lavena's Catch Cafe. Our Lobster Shack is located here as well if you are looking for fresh local lobster.
